SvS fic- encounter by ~Roach-Chan:iconRoach-Chan:

Somewhere between the gun I have emptied and the explosion trying to kill this guy and the fact I was struggling with what I was fairly certain were broken ribs I realized that this wasn’t a regular fight.

Every attempt to blow his head off was countered with perfect precision. I give him credit for it though, since my fighting style is not uniform or planned out, but an improvised move that happens to fit the situation. I attack without development, I don’t follow an unvarying motion that I practice over and over again; I simply pull whatever is in my pocket out and use it to kill whoever I can.

This guy…this other man…he had thought this out. He doesn’t improvise; he knows what he’s doing. I give myself credit for being deadly, but he is lethal and accurate. I notice from the way he moves that he’s familiar with some Asian fighting techniques, although I couldn’t place it. His eyes were locked in his one gaze and it burned. His lanky body was a weapon.

We had known of each other, since we are both our nation’s top agents. I’m shocked only now we meet in an actual fight. I was given his folder by the Leader and told to eliminate him, which I didn’t even think twice of as I accepted the job. I received a tip off by Lady Grey where I could find him; little did I know that insane bitch had told him were to find me.

I swear if she wasn’t so attractive I would murder her.

Sitting alone in an abandoned wear house, hiding behind a crate while just waiting for him to show up, I wasn’t even fazed. I didn’t think this would be a big deal. In all honesty I was thinking of what I was going to make for dinner and wondering if I would have time to get laundry done before I took my 2 hours of random, periodic naps I seize through out the day.

That was when a shot whizzed by me, splintering the crate I was behind.

I rolled from my back to my knees and had my gun in hand. I wasn’t holding it a second ago, but I’m trained for this; my body acts on its own. I took in account the angle the bullet left in the wood and determined it came from above, probably the cat walk. I took my dark sunglasses off and used the reflection to see around the box, looking for a body. We wore the same uniform, save that they were our own embassies standard issue.

I saw him, practically standing in the open on the catwalk. A grin split my face as I cocked my gun and aimed. The beeping noise behind me stopped me from firing. I looked over my shoulder and saw a hole in the crate behind me. A green light was blinking at me, slowly gaining speed until it formed a solid green and a constant screech.

So yeah, I panicked and practically fell as I darted as fast as my legs could carry me. A small, controlled explosion erupted behind me and I was hit in the back with wood shrapnel as I flew onto the floor. Bullets instantly started raining down on me and I barely made it behind another, steel box on the floor.

He was good, but so was I. I took my jacket off along with my hat and quickly rigged them both with a broom I found so it appeared I was still hiding. No thoughts came through my head as I snuck away, diving and jumping from crate to box to stay hidden from my target. When I was almost 30 feet from my fake set up, I took one of my shoes off and threw it at the fake, knocking it over into the other agent’s frame of view.

Bullets erupted and shred my jacket and hat. It took him almost a full round from his hand gun to realize it wasn’t me. I got up on the box I was currently behind and opened fire.

One shot in the arm, two shots in the legs, and a clipping of his face, but I didn’t kill him. He was fast too; he ran away from me along the cat walk. I kept shooting and only resulted in empting my gun. He was out of my sight.

I crouched and got out my next hand gun, a revolver. I was a good shot with this baby. My heart was beating wildly in my chest and I was feeling that rush of adrenaline take over my body. I hadn’t felt this way since the first time I had shot someone dead. I’ve been up against groups of other spies at the same time, killing each of them, but never getting this excited.

If I didn’t have to kill him, I’d like to get to know him.

Just as the thought dazed through my mind, a long, metal pole came crashing at me from over head. It slammed into my shoulder and the pain that exploded in my arm was nothing to me since I was high on my own fuel. I saw it was a metal pipe as it clattered nosily to the ground. I looked up and saw the white spy on the cat walk still, smirking down at me with his gun out.

I reached for my empty gun and threw it up at him. It arched and fell at his feet, missing him completely. He gave me a funny look before he realized the gun was ticking.

It exploded, causing him to go flying. I stood up, running after his body as it went across the wear house to land on old, rain soaked cardboard boxes. The gun in my hand made my palm tingle. I wanted to kill him, but at the same time I wanted to see if he would pull off another stunt. How often can you practice being blown up? I doubted that he had any moves hidden up his sleeves.

Even in just a wife-beater and black, dirty pants and missing a shoe, I was still fairly intimidating. I pretty much figured myself to be a bad ass, until I saw this guys face. At first it was contorted in pain, probably fell on his tail bone or something. Then his eyes darkened and focused on me, completely ignoring the gun as his icy blue eyes drilled into my earthy green ones. His hair was white, slightly blackened from the explosion. That firmly pressed uniform was dirty and bloody from where I had gotten him.

I’m trained to ignore my emotions, trained to block my feelings and to cover my expressions, but he made my eyes widen. I saw nothing but hate dripping from his face in my direction. I knew if it had been me looking down the barrel of his gun I would have been dead a long time ago. Something inside me stopped my finger from pulling the trigger.

“You’re the agent White of the White Embassy?” I questioned, hoping my English was good enough for him to understand. The ‘Top 5’ was a code name for the top agents from each embassy. I wasn’t the first out of the ‘Top 5’ to become a top agent. I believe Blue was first, being the oldest out of us all, then Grey, followed by White, then me, then Red. When I became my embassies top agent I was warned about each of the other top agents.

Blue was known to get to know his enemies, treat them as friends, before murdering them with a cold blooded slice. He wasn’t so much as crazy as just doing his job. Grey was a seducer, liking to play with her enemies like a cat with an injured mouse before finally shooting them through the face. She took pleasure in killing. Red was a man’s man, one of the boys, someone to have a drink with and watch T.V., but was a completely sick and twisted bastard. The horrible way he kills is to much for me to think of.

But White…It took an entire day to review him. He planned out killings, enjoyed torturing and breaking his captives, allowed them to live along enough just so he could enjoy it. I’ve been told he’s insane, a psycho maybe, and I was warned to watch my back.

I was surprised by what I found.

“Yup, and you’re agent Black.” He stated, matter-of-factly. I blinked stupidly a few times, my gun not wavering. He sounded nothing like he looked. He sounded young, probably close to my age. His voice was assured of himself and he didn’t even register I had him.

I used my thumb to pull back the hammer on the gun, something not necessary but it gave me more time to scope him out. He didn’t even blink or look frightened. I was a little more than pissed at him for not caring.

“So…I’m having to shoot you soon.” I said lamely, still hoping he’d understand what I meant. I don’t know why I was hesitating, but I just didn’t figure it would be over so quick. My adrenaline was dying down and my heart beat was returning to normal.

Slowly, a smirk appeared on his face.

“Look behind you, dope”
